good morning everyone! Very happy to have the opportunity to share with you! This is my first time to participate in the global automotive forum, so far I think this forum is doing great.
Just now the host also introduced, we really in an exciting and profound, for the motor vehicle industry has a lot of development and change. And the speed of change is indeed the ever-changing, so then I would like to share with you how Borg Warner is how to look at the motor vehicle industry changes.
First of all, we introduce the vision of our BorgWarner. Our vision is very simple, but I feel very strong, is to be committed to creating a clean and energy efficient world. In fact, I think this is one of our core tasks, but also our global society is facing one of the most important task. Is to make our global motor vehicles become more clean, more energy efficient, which is committed to the city of Borg Warner City, a vision, but also for decades we have been trying to work in one direction. Because in the past so many years our main goal is to develop clean and efficient technology to apply to the motor vehicle production.
Some people may not be familiar with BorgWarner, I will briefly introduce our development process. Now we have 27,000 employees and are a global company. We can see that we are located in 62 different locations around the world, all over 17 different countries. Last year we total revenue, sales reached 9.7 billion US dollars, so we also think we are very close to consumers. Then I would like to tell you about Borg Warner is now very concerned about the four motor vehicle industry trends, but also we are very concerned about the trend every day. These trends are well known, including unmanned, car-sharing, interconnected cars and energy efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions reductions. In fact, many companies are very clear about these four trends for what we mean in the industry, including what it means for BorgWarner.
We have accumulated this experience in the past few years: one is the speed of change, including the speed of our technological revolution in any of these four areas are very very fast, and several other speakers will also introduce a few The In addition, we have an experience, the four trends are not separated from each other, the four trends complement each other, and are interrelated. In 2025 we also had some of our own vision, where I showed you a combination of the future car drive system in 2025. There are a few important messages to keep in mind. One, we look at the contrast between China and the world, we can see in 2025, 20% of the cars will be plug-in and pure electric cars, 18% is hybrid. If we look at other places, China's growth rate is no doubt 2-3 times the rest of the world. If we are in terms of the total amount of motor vehicle momentum, we can see that China will lead the development of clean cars in the future, and by 2025, 30% of motor vehicles will be produced and sold in China. And 35% -50% of the hybrid, plug-in strong pure electric vehicles will be in the Chinese market.
So we look forward to such a transition in China can continue, the Chinese government and the whole plant and suppliers to work together to promote such a transformation. So we have a great position in China, BorgWarner also want to launch in the Chinese market all of our technology, whether it is fuel motor or plug-in, or pure electric, these technologies are not detailed to introduce. But the core technology is for fuel cars, we still think this is a very important type of motor vehicle, BorgWarner will continue in the future for the traditional fuel vehicles to provide leading technology. Including plug-in, mix and pure electric.
For us, in the world to layout our latest technology, no doubt will be in the Chinese market to layout. Our pure electric drive model will be the first time this year to market, and we will launch in China, our most advanced dual-clutch system. China will undoubtedly lead the development of global electricization.
