Japanese shipyard Sino-Japanese shipyard orders ordered 25 ships

In July of this year, Nisshin Shipping secured a total of 5 + 2 Kamsarmax bulk carriers at Hantong Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., with delivery scheduled for 2018 to 2019. The Kamsarmax bulk carriers are built to IMO Tier II standards, each costing about $ 24 million.

In addition, Nisshin Shipping had ordered a series of five Kamsarmax bulk carriers at Hankook Shipbuilding Heavy Industry in 2013, at a cost of not more than US $ 30 million at the time. In addition to the Kamsarmax model, HATT also delivered Ultramax and 38800DWT small bulk carriers for Nissin Shipping.

It is reported that Hantong Shipbuilding Heavy Industry in 2017 signed 9 new orders, of which 7 bulk carriers, chemical tankers (shipyards ship trading) 2, coupled with the order, Hantong Shipbuilding this year, the new signed orders will reach 16 , Hand-held orders will reach 34.

In the meantime, Nisshin Shipping ordered 7 Ultramax bulk carriers and 7 Kamsarmax bulk carriers at Oshima, Japan, to be delivered from 2019 to 2021. According to insiders, the cost of the Ultramax Bulk Carrier is about $ 25 million per vessel, while the cost of the Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier is about $ 27 million.

In addition, Nisshin Shipping has also ordered 4 19700 DWT chemical tankers at Japan's Usuki Shipyard, each with a cost of approximately USD33 to 34 million and is scheduled to be delivered by 2020. Including these 4 new vessels, Nissin Shipping currently holds 9 stainless steel chemical vessels at Usuki Shipyard.

Nisshin Shipping is one of the earlier Japanese shippers to switch to overseas shipyards. As early as the booming shipping market, Nisshin Shipping had already switched overseas based on the high price of Japanese yen and the long delivery time of Japanese shipping companies, most of which were built in China's shipyards. The data show that Nisshin Shipping has 27 bulk carriers operating in the bulk carrier fleet, which are made in China's shipyards, of which 10 are Hankook Shipbuilding Heavy Industries, 12 Jiangmen Nanyang Ships (position review news), and 12 are Zhoushan Comment News) Shipbuilding 3 and Gimhae (position review news)

At present, Nisshin Shipping's fleet owns 51 vessels, of which 31 are bulk carriers, totaling 1674490 DWTs; 5 finished oil tankers (shipyards trading) totaling 371111 DWTs and 15 chemical tankers totaling 349671 DWTs . Including this order, Nisshin Shipping will hold 39 orders, including 26 bulk carriers and 13 chemical tankers.
