With the rapid development of science and technology, automobile equipment has become increasingly sophisticated, and more and more electrical and electronic products are used in automobiles. The use of electronic systems inevitably makes the automotive circuit more and more complex, using more and more lines and components. Improve the design of the line, the difficulty of maintenance and the complexity of the harness, reducing the reliability of the entire electrical and electronic systems. Because the design of the circuit system of the whole vehicle is unreasonable or the reliability cannot meet the requirements of the customers, it will lead to the breakdown of the circuit system of the entire vehicle, and even serious consequences such as spontaneous combustion of the vehicle and fire. According to fire department statistics, nearly 90% of motor vehicle fires are auto-ignition. Spontaneous combustion of automobiles brings huge safety risks to people and vehicles. The failure of the line is one of the main causes of vehicle fires. Therefore, the design of the vehicle circuit system is particularly important. This paper analyzes the causes of auto-ignition of the automotive wiring harness, and discusses the main points of fuse design and wire matching design in the circuit design of the vehicle system.
1, overload
Overload means that the load of the circuit or component exceeds the rated value, resulting in excessive electrical current and heating by electrical equipment. Long-term overload of the line will reduce the insulation level of the line, causing short circuits or even burning the equipment or lines.
2, short circuit
Short-circuit means that the current does not flow through the electrical equipment directly by the wire (called closed loop), which is equivalent to connecting the two power poles directly. When the power supply is short-circuited, the current on the circuit is very large, causing the temperature of the wire to increase. In severe cases, it may cause spontaneous combustion.
3, fuse and line matching effect
The selection of the fuse should be matched with the diameter of the wire, and the location should be reasonably arranged, otherwise it will lose its circuit protection function.
