Harness section selection
Principle of wire harness cross section selection
(1) The wire must have sufficient strength to avoid being pulled off due to wind, ice or repair.
(2) When the load current is passed for a long time, the wire should not be overheated to avoid damage to the insulation or fire of the circuit.
(3) The voltage loss on the line should not be too large.
The steps to select a wire cross section are as follows:
(1) When making a low-voltage harness, the wire harness processing factory generally selects the cross-sectional area of the wire according to the heating condition of the wire, and then checks the voltage loss and mechanical strength conditions.
(2) When making a high-voltage harness, the wire harness processing factory generally selects the cross-sectional area of the wire according to the economic current density, and then tests it with the heat and voltage loss.
