After the establishment of the German “Belt and Road” alliance, it will promote cooperation between Chinese and German companies in the fields of energy, transportation, manufacturing and digitalization. As a giant in the automation industry, Siemens can see its emphasis on the Chinese market from its layout in China. As of FY 2018, Siemens already has 21 R&D centers in China, and also launched a cloud IoT operating system in cooperation with Alibaba Cloud.
Germany is one of the most developed countries in Industry 4.0. As the leading company in Germany, Siemens is also the first international company to establish a digital factory in China. In 2015, Siemens established a sister digital plant in the Amberg factory in Chengdu, mainly for the production of PLC.
