Application of wind speed sensor on drone
The drone is a non-manned aircraft that is operated using radio remote control equipment and self-contained program control devices. Because of its remote control and unmanned features, drones are more suitable for some "dangerous" tasks, and can be used in military or civilian applications. UAVs are used in a wide range of applications, including aerial photography, animal husbandry monitoring, express transportation, disaster relief, wildlife observation, geographic mapping, and agricultural environmental monitoring. The components on the drone mainly include sensors, controllers, actuators, and the like. The sensors mainly include acceleration sensors, gyroscopes, current sensors, inertial measurement units, tilt sensors, magnetic sensors, flow sensors, etc., depending on the purpose of the drone, more or less different sensors are added, such as increasing the wind speed sensor. It is used for typhoon prediction in the environment, detection of wind speed and wind direction in animal husbandry, detection of wind speed in agriculture, wind speed and wind direction detection in desert environment for deserts and other environments and occasions.
Application of wind speed sensor on drone
The wind speed sensor is a sensor that continuously measures wind speed and air volume (air volume = wind speed * cross-sectional area). Common wind speed sensors can be divided into mechanical wind speed sensors (mainly propeller type, wind cup type), hot air type wind speed sensors, pitot tube type wind speed sensors and ultrasonic wind speed sensors based on acoustic principles.
Application of wind speed sensor on drone
For wind speed sensors used on drones, we recommend a (but not limited to) LCJ Capteurs ultrasonic wind speed sensor from France - CV7-OEM.
The basic characteristics of the wind speed sensor are as follows:
Wind speed range: 0.12 to 40 m/s
Wind speed sensitivity: 0.12 m/s
Wind speed resolution: 0.05 m/s
Wind direction sensitivity: +/-1.5°
Wind direction resolution: 1°
Supply voltage: 8 V to 30 V DC
Head weight: 100G
Output data format: NMEA0183, MWV, XDR
