In the past, when conducting river section surveys, it was necessary to rent boats for boarding operations. There were safety risks such as falling into the water and collisions with other ships in the river, and the water waves and the stability of the ships directly affected the measurement accuracy.

With the use of unmanned ship technology this time, surveyors do not need to board the ship, and can safely, efficiently, and accurately measure the river cross-section on the shore. Compared with traditional methods, the operation efficiency and safety are greatly improved. The accurate water level elevation under the discharge flow provides technical support, which provides guarantee for reservoir operation during flood season and flood control.
