National Energy Administration data show that in 2015 China's cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic reached 43 million kilowatts, surpassing Germany to become the world's largest photovoltaic market. According to the data from China Electricity Council, the new PV installed capacity in China surpassed that of wind power for the first time in 2016, accounting for about half of the newly installed PV capacity in the world. The cumulative installed capacity reached 77GW, nearly double that of Germany's 40GW in the same period. By August 2017, China has installed more than 110 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power and completed its goal of the 13th Five-Year Plan in advance.
During the forum, Wang Bohua said that for the development of photovoltaic industry, the domestic policy environment has been gradually improved and the photovoltaic applications have been innovated, and the scale of the industry has continued to expand.
