The gearbox is one of the most essential components of a wind turbine. In order to ensure the efficient and stable operation of the fan, the lubrication performance of the gearbox must be guaranteed. Therefore, the lubrication management of the gearbox, especially the oil change of the gearbox, has become an important task that wind power operators cannot ignore.

In the full practice process, summarize the following procedures:

1. Determine the compatibility of the new oil with the previous lubricant. Consult a team of technical engineers for assistance.

2. Drain the gearbox system as much as possible.

3. Operate the oil circulation pump motor at a low speed until all the fluid in each line has been pumped out and stop operating when the pump whistle sound is heard for the first time.

4. Disconnect all external piping from the pump and drain the piping. Drain any oil remaining in the oil cooler.

5. Clean all deposits and debris from the oil filter housing. Replace all removable oil filters (using the filter manufacturer's recommended filter). Reconnect all external lines.

6. Open the gear box inspection cover and find the residue of the previously filled lubricant. If possible, take a photo to record the status.
