A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China announced on its official website the "2018 New Energy Vehicle Standardization Work Points", and deployed the next standardization of new energy vehicles and related industries in 2018. The related work in the area of power battery includes:
Key system component areas:
·Complete the mandatory national standards for lithium ion battery safety review and approval;
·Complete review and approval of demolition requirements, packaging, transportation and material recovery standards for power battery recycling;
·Complete the drafting of battery management system and car charger standards;
·Development of power battery cascade utilization, fuel cell engine durability, fuel cell stack performance, wheel motor, high voltage fuse and high pressure contactor standard pre-research.
The standard system is optimized and improved:
Accelerate the establishment of sub-systems such as the recycling and utilization of power batteries;
Strengthen international communication and coordination and promote the internationalization of Chinese standards:
Fully participate in ISO/TC22/SC37 and IEC/TC69 electric vehicle international standard activities, and actively propose China's proposal in such key areas as power battery and charging.
Strengthen organizational guarantees and actively exert industrial strength:
Fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of new energy vehicles and key component manufacturers, and give full play to the core role of enterprises in standardization;
· Encourage backbone enterprises to formulate competitive corporate standards.
In recent years, despite the continued development of the new energy automotive industry, new energy vehicles and power batteries and other key components are still new to the traditional industries, so the formulation of relevant standards is still lagging behind. In the actual development of the industry, it is often preceded by products, followed by standards, or modified by reference to similar standards for similar industries. This has also led to the development of new energy vehicle related industries, especially the power battery industry, and there has been a phenomenon of “crossing the river by feeling stones”.
In response, the state has issued regulations and standards concerning power battery model specifications, codes, and recycling to regulate the development of the power battery industry. However, there are also industry insiders who say that there are as many as hundreds of standard power battery models, and the standard is too high. More is equal to no standard. From this point of view, the establishment of a battery-related standard system is not a one-day event.
When the new energy automobile industry gradually enters the “right track”, the competent department of the industry begins to revise and formulate standards and specifications that are more in line with the development needs of the power battery industry, and actively mobilizes the strength of the company to give full play to the initiative of the company and standardize the work for the industry. Giving advice and suggestions helps contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of the industry. We believe that with the continuous refinement of the standards for power batteries, the power battery industry will usher in a new wave of industrial development.
