Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a meeting to conduct in-depth research on the goals, methods and policies of electrification by sub-sector, sub-region and sub-model. Industry insiders said that under the impact of the global new crown pneumonia epidemic, the country once again promoted the electrification of vehicles in the public domain and released positive policy signals, which will effectively boost the confidence of the automotive industry. At the same time, continuing to vigorously promote new energy vehicles, both the "economic account" and the "environmental protection account" are important to the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.
The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Justice also jointly issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Establishment of a Green Production and Consumption Regulations and Policies System", which proposes to establish and improve the promotion mechanism of new energy vehicles and other green products, and encourage public transportation, sanitation, rental, commuting, and city post New and updated vehicles in express delivery operations, urban logistics and other areas use new energy and clean energy vehicles.
People in the industry believe that at the national level, the process of electrifying cars in the public domain is further accelerated, which forms a strong impetus for the follow-up policies of local governments.
Relevant local governments have also issued policies to actively promote the promotion and use of new energy vehicles in the public domain. For example, Beijing, Nanjing, Putian, Xiong'an New District and other places have issued policies to realize new energy use of vehicles in areas such as logistics, freight transportation, and public transportation.
In recent years, with the support of policies, the process of electrifying vehicles in the public domain has continued to accelerate, and many cities have made useful explorations and achieved practical results. Taking Taiyuan City as an example, nearly 10,000 taxis in the city have been replaced with electric cars by the end of 2016. Taiyuan has therefore become the first city in the country to realize pure electric taxis.
