Under the new infrastructure, the charging pile industry is heating up again, but the profit problem is still to be solved. Is user traffic a good antidote?

The wind of the new infrastructure is rising, and the charging piles are booming again.

Just over a week ago, State Grid officially announced that it will open 126 charging pile projects in 18 provinces and cities at the same time. This year, it plans to invest 2.7 billion yuan and add 78,000 charging piles.

At almost the same time, China Southern Power Grid also launched a generous plan. In the next 4 years, China Southern Power Grid will invest 25.1 billion yuan to build charging facilities, build 150 large-scale centralized charging stations, and charge 380,000 charging piles, more than 10 times the current number.

Flow antidote?

After carrying heavy financial burdens, charging pile players are also changing their strategies.

On March 12, State Grid launched the "find partners" activity, and State Grid will seek cooperation with individual charging piles, pile group users, production enterprises, venues and funding parties. Similarly, the APP of Special Call is also promoting activities of a similar nature.

In addition to alleviating the pressure on funds, the above measures are a battle for data.

The value of the charging pile far exceeds the charging function. One end is connected to the user and the other end is connected to the power grid. The charging network collects big data in all aspects such as energy, payment, automobiles, and users. In addition to physical connections, there is more data connection and accumulation in the cloud.

On top of massive data, you can change the single profit model, realize it through value-added services or data value mining, and even create a new ecology.
